    Why, What, Who, and HOW: Improving State Reporting of Local Performance

    This toolkit provides an overview of the public reporting requirements in IDEA Section 616 and provides suggestions to present local performance in easy-to-understand formats. SEAs and Part C lead agencies (LAs) must report on the annual performance of their LEAs and early childhood local programs on the targets in the SPP. The toolkit includes the Section 616 legislation and provides information about the why, what, who, and how of state reporting of local performance data.

    Writing an Effective FFY 2019 State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report

    Experienced IDC staff guided states through the process of State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report writing. Presenters detailed guidance OSEP provided for the reporting process and will draw upon their years of experience to provide helpful tips that have proven effective for other states. Participants learned about common issues or pitfalls in report writing and how to find solutions prior to submitting their reports. Presenters shared effective and complete writing samples along with less effective samples. Staff from North Carolina shared the state’s writing experiences and lessons learned.

    Writing Your FFY 2019 SSIP: Continuity and Change

    This webinar was designed for those who are new to the SSIP process as well as seasoned SSIP coordinators who would like to learn more about reporting options and requirements for the April 2021 SSIP submission. IDC staff discussed important content to include in the SSIP report, reporting options including a new optional template, and issues to consider when deciding on an optimal format for reporting. A state presenter shared the state’s FFY 2019 SSIP reporting plans, including steps the state will take to ensure that its SSIP report is useful for state decisionmaking and stakeholder engagement.
