    Overview of IDEA Discipline Data Reporting Infographic

    The presentation reviewed a new TA tool that summarizes the basics of reporting IDEA discipline data in the six EDFacts file formats. Presenters described and demonstrated the new IDC infographic, discussed how SEAs and LEAs can use it to improve the quality of their discipline data, and requested audience input.

    EMAPS IDEA Part C Child Count and Settings Survey Webinar

    On Tuesday, February 23, 2016,  OSEP, ESB, and PSC presented the EMAPS IDEA Part C Child Count and Settings Survey Webinar.

    The purpose of this webinar was to review the procedures for submitting this survey, including the new cumulative counts for race/ethnicity and gender, new additional year-to-year rows, and change in the email notifications.     This flyer is meant to help states better understand the three TA centers that are responsible for responding to issues regarding IDEA fiscal reporting and data collection: IDC, CIFR, and NCSI .The flyer contains, a chart with each center’s objectives and activities that are related to IDEA fiscal data.

    South Carolina SSIP Partners’ Inventory

    As a part of developing their SSIP Phase I, the South Carolina Department of Education chose to use the IDC Equity, Inclusion, and Opportunity: How to Address Success Gaps, Rubric to inform their work. SC state staff developed the SC SSIP Partners' Inventory by reformatting content in the Success Gaps rubric, breaking apart some of the more complex components of the rubric into more concise elements that could be rated more easily on a Likert-type rating scale.

    Quick Reference Guide on Coordinated Early Intervening Services

    Developed by CIFR, in collaboration with IDC, this three-page quick reference guide assists states, LEAs, and stakeholders to better understand basic CEIS requirements stipulated in IDEA. The guide is updated to reflect 2016 changes in the IDEA Part B regulations on significant disproportionality. The guide describes the requirements for the provision of CEIS, the use of CEIS funds, the interaction of CEIS funds and local MOE reductions, and reporting obligations. It concludes with questions and additional resources for states to consider.
