    Improving Data Quality in Part C Family and Part B Parent Surveys Webinar

    The webinar provided an overview of survey methodology data issues. It was designed to help participants improve their knowledge about survey development and testing, representativeness, and response rates related to family surveys in Part C and Part B. The webinar was designed for individuals involved in measurement of Indicators C4 and B8 and those interested in survey methodologies as part of the SSIP.

    Part C State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2017 Indicator Analyses

    The Part C State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2017 Indicator Analyses presents a national picture of the implementation of Part C of IDEA based on a review of information 56 states and jurisdictions (55 for Indicator 11) reported in their FFY 2015 APRs and amended state-submitted 2017 SPPs/APRs. For the purposes of the report, the term “state” is used for both states and jurisdictions. The report, which covers Part C Indicators 1 through 11, can be downloaded in Word format.

    Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2017 Indicator Analyses
    The Part B State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report 2017 Indicator Analyses presents a national quantitative picture of the implementation of Part B of IDEA based on a review of information 60 states and jurisdictions (with exceptions as noted for individual indicators) reported in their FFY 2015 APRs and amended state-submitted 2017 SPPs/APRs. For the purposes of the report, the term “state” is inclusive of the 50 states and jurisdictions. The report, which covers Part B Indicators 1 through 17, can be downloaded in Word format.

    Building an Effective SSIP Evaluation Team

    The presentation offers guidance on assembling a team that is well equipped to complete the kind of evaluation states envision for their SSIP, including the types of skills and knowledge states will need represented on their evaluation teams.     The presentation addresses the value of IDEA data managers and staff working with data from systems integrated with general education and early learning programs. Viewers can learn how integrated data can support the SSIP to provide a comprehensive integrated view of children/students, schools, and programs to improve outcomes for children and their families.     Child Outcomes and Data Quality

    The presentation provides strategies for making predictions of the ways in which improvements in data quality will impact the summary statements and describes different ways to impact and measure changes in data quality over time. This can help states currently struggling to predict how improvements in data quality will impact the value of the summary statements describing child outcomes. Helpful handouts are included.
