U.S. Department of Education Posts Proposed Part B SPP/APR Information Collection for Public Comment

On July 10, 2020, the U.S. Department of Education posted its proposed revisions to the IDEA Part B SPP and APR information collection for a 30-day public comment period. The revised information collection would establish a new 6-year SPP cycle for FFY 2020 through FFY 2025. The proposed revisions would go into effect with the FFY 2018 SPP/APR that states submit in February 2022. The revisions focus on ensuring improved outcomes for children with disabilities and aligning the SPP/APR with the Secretary’s priorities, including elevating parent voice. Interested individuals must submit comments on or before August 10, 2020. For more information, visit https://www.regulations.gov/document?D=ED-2020-SCC-0030-0066.
