Early Childhood Data Literacy to Support State and Local Stakeholder Engagement and Data Use
Staff from IDC and NCSI collaborated to present this webinar on how early childhood data literacy can support state and local stakeholder engagement and data use. The webinar provided information about what data literacy is and how it is a foundation for using data both to inform staff and stakeholders about progress toward improving desired results for children and their families and engage stakeholders in decisionmaking. The content responded to states’ needs to be able to understand and use data and communicate with their stakeholders about using data to inform decisions at the state and local levels. A Part C data manager and a preschool (Part B) education consultant shared their states’ use of technical assistance, tools, and strategies to improve data literacy and support communication with stakeholders about data and data use.
