Evolving Roles of Part B Data Managers: A New Era

Time and Date

Overview

OSEP's shift from monitoring to results-driven accountability and the creation of integrated data systems has ushered in a new era.

This webinar examined the evolving roles of Part B Data Managers when it comes to promoting, collecting, and using high-quality data.  It is critical that today’s data managers are actively engaged with LEAs, data governance boards, and P20W Councils that oversee early childhood integrated data system and state longitudinal data system efforts to lead the way to enhance the use of data to improve outcomes.

During the webinar, Part B Data Managers and other participants had an opportunity to learn from Fred Edora (SC) and Carol Seay (GA), data managers who are proactive and creating innovative ways and opportunities to improve federal reporting efforts, move toward high-data quality, and increase data use both within their state agencies and across their districts.  The expected outcome of this webinar was that attendees would learn about the work that goes beyond federal reporting and what their expected role is in this work.
