    The Interactive Institutes 2020: Building and Sustaining a Culture of High-Quality Part B Data will be held in Fort Worth, TX from March 3-4, 2020 and Nashville, TN from March 31-April 1, 2020.
     

    State teams will immerse themselves in a data quality environment as they dive into topics to learn about data culture change (the mindset and the know-how); discover best practices to improve data collection, reporting, analysis, and use; and engage in active dialogue and activities with peers and TA providers around trending data quality topics. Teams will leave the Interactive Institutes with powerful ideas and actionable plans to improve their work processes and data quality.

  • 41st Annual Report to Congress on IDEA Implementation Posted on ed.gov Website

    Now you can download the 41st Annual Report to Congress on the Implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, 2019 from ed.gov. The report includes national and state-level exhibits about infants and toddlers, children, and students with disabilities served under IDEA Part C and Part B. The most recent data the report presents are from fall 2017 or reporting year 2016-17. Certain exhibits contain 10 years of trend data beginning with fall 2008 or reporting year 2007-08. In addition, the report presents summaries of findings and determinations resulting from the U.S. Department of Education reviews of state implementation of IDEA as well as information about federally funded special education research and studies.

     

    Previous editions of the annual report—from the 40th report, published in 2018, back to the 17th report, published in 1995—are also available at ed.gov.

    The proposed FY 2020–2025 SPP/APR information collections for Part B are now published in the Federal Register and available for comment until April 20. Notice of this proposal can be found here.
